Our Fall- in a nutshell (ha!)

Fall 2012.
Lots of fun. Lots of pictures.

Disney on Ice. Fulton wasn't going to go since we went to such a late show. But, I'm so glad he went and stayed til intermission. He LOVED it!
Of course big brother loved Simba, the crocodile in Peter Pan

He's never sat so still!

Getting ready for Sawyer's Go Dog Go 2nd birthday party!

Miracle worker against LSU this year

Well, another vote, another loooong four years.

Ridge's game this year- Texas A&M
You weren't our lucky charm this year bud.
But, you stayed the whole game!!!

Got a little ugly. We couldn't watch.

Well, there's always popcorn.
At least we're headed for another National Championship!

He thinks he's big stuff in brother's bed

Lifeline Banquet- amazing as always

Cruise!!! Excuse my fake smile. Not sure what I was doing.

The group

 Our dinner table.

Cozumel - this resort was AMAZING!

Some of Ridge's MDO art
I really don't think he did all of this by himself...

Now this one, yes.

Thanksgiving Day
A little football fun outside MeMaw and PePaws log cabin

Ridge thought it would be funny to take off his pants. Ha!

My mom's beeeautiful senior portrait

oops. upside down. But, more artwork.

and sideways. not really sure why these aren't up right.

McWane Center fun

Ridge and Fulton loved the snow again. Fulton got in trouble for throwing it multiple times.
No surprise right now. He throws everything.
In fact, I have a huge knot on my forehead right now where he catapulted an hard plastic toy at me from 10 inches away. Sigh. Fulton- you are a rough, but sweet little boy.
You have been very cuddly lately. And, I thank you. I guess you feel bad about how I look right now.

Starting to decorate!!!!

A late night ER breathing treatment run. Glad you're ok little one.

Finally went to the dentist. Just a little behind. You did great Ridge. You went all by yourself! And, your teeth are perfect (except you have an overbite and we'll fix that later)
Fulton was also checked. He has had some mouth injuries lately. All of that is ok.
But, we did find out you have an extra tooth. Ha! (sorry, mommy can't help but laugh)
It's nothing to worry about. We'll just pull it if it gets crowded or anything.
Love you buddy!
Ridge decorating mommy to run errands.

Pjs at Walmart. Perfect attire.

brother bath time fun

Ridge said all the animals were kissing just like Mary and Joseph love and kiss on baby Jesus.
(heart melting)
I love your nurturing spirit Ridge.

Rough boys. Fulton- you can hold your own at 1.

Ridge's first fun run/part of a 5k.  You were "jingling" in honor of our little buddy Graham. He has juvenile arthritis. He is 2. You loved chasing Santa. You loved running with Dada and riding on Dada's shoulders. Dada said when y'all decided to run super fast you passed about 200 people and they were all cheering for you! I wish I could've been there but little Fulton was sick.
I love you and hope to run with you too!

We had a wonderful Fall and we're ready for Christmas!!!!

Halloween

Kept it pretty simple this Halloween.
Ridge was big shark and Fulton was shark bait.
We strolled our neighborhood with Winnie the Pooh.
Ran into Captain America and Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates.
Oh yes, and Spiderman.
Awesome odds.
We had a great time, and Fulton enjoyed a few suckers, and so did his shark costume.
We still have candy, anyone want some???

Started the night out strong with a nice melt down. He saw the suckers I had for our trick or treaters.
Ridge and Sawyer's faces sum it up.

And more.

Now we are ok.

"This!"

Excited about the candy!

Still wondering how that wrapper comes off.

Precious sharks.

Just roaming the neighborhood. Da dum. Da dum.
Da dum Da Dum Da Dum!!!!

Finally.

There's Jake!

Captain America is all about it!

Could only contain him so long.

And, Spiderman wears flip flops. Who knew.

On the attack.

Sweetness. And, sugar overload.
Love you my little sharkies.
Momma

Oh yea, and Ridge was also Woody at school that day.
:)

little punkins with their pumpkins

{I'm always going to be a month late on posts. Christmas posts may turn up around June or July which is really about the time that the Wise Men actually arrived anyway.... }
Ok, back on topic. Pumpkins.
Our first Pumpkin Carving Night.
I don't think Ridge has ever carved a pumpkin.
(Well, he didn't really carve the pumpkin. But, you know, supervised.)
Well, we had a great time. Dada worked hard while everyone watched and cheered him on especially with the pumpkin seeds and goop! Ha!
Just kidding, momma did carve Fulton's in 3 seconds though.
We had a lot of fun and you know what a mess it is. Nice and slimy.
I thought i had read once you've cleaned it out, to rinse it in vinegar to help it last longer.
Nope. Not true.
These pumpkins shriveled up in 2 days.
But, I did read afterthefact, that ole Martha Stewart recommends coating the pumpkin in Vaseline after.
Hmm.. sort of a mess sitting on your front porch with bugs and leaves stuck to it greeting your guests.
Anyway, I might try that next year.
Have any of you found any good ideas to help them last longer?

Here's a few pictures from our fun night playing with knives.
{Disregard our super messy house and my half naked children}

Ridge helping Dada see a little better with his pumpkin flashlight.

Fulton's finished pumpkin

Ridge's pumpkin with his hands traced

Fulton's pumpkin candle was weak.

And, Ridge, son, you're still learning not to keep your hands "down there"
Daily struggle.

Happy Halloween from the Wiggins!

Let the games begin!

And, so, it begins. The world of sports. Sports mom. 2 boys, gonna be a lot of it!

Not really sure what he's doing here. Looks like I'm not listening to you Mama.

Don't get me wrong. I LOVE sports. LOVE them. A huge part of my childhood. Why, in fact, I was the only girl on a 5-6 year old boys baseball team. For many years.( Softball was not offered until a later age if you're making a funny face right now.){Remember, I grew up in no red light Berry, AL.} Playing softball for like, an eternity, cheering 7-12, and basketball 7-12, I've been around plenty of sporting myself. And, for those that know me, I'm pretty competitive too. Even though all of my high school teams were the pits. We still had fun. And, that's what it's all about. But, the physical aspect is lacking now. Severely.

Ridge ready to attack. (He is a pretty competitive little guy)

Harris' loud roar. Go T-rex's! (A fitting name for 3 year old boys)

All this mumbojumbo to say, I just didn't think we would embark this adventure at 3.

Three.

T-H-R-E-E.

A lot of this was going on.

And this.

And some of this. Boys.

But, that's ok honey, I love you, and this was your idea. And, it was fun. A little cold. A little wet at times. Early Saturdays. Me chasing Fulton the entire time because he thinks he's 3 too and can kick a soccer ball like a 2.5 year old I might add.  It was fun. And, I thank you. {Although at times, (you all know Alan and his competitive juice) he was reminded every Saturday that these children, especially Ridge, are 3 and to lower his expectations.} Thank you Jeremy Tuggle for keeping him realistic. Hard job.

Here are a few favorites from this year's Fall 2012 Soccer Season. Good job Ridge. I love you buddy!

Soooo cold the morning of their last game.

One of his goals at the last game. Play by play.

Proud little fella. Mama, did you see that? :) Did Fulton see?

Good game guys!

Tunnels are the best part!

Love Harris' face.

Trophy Day!

Best picture I got. So excited. I know honey, the lone broken off foot was a little confusing to me too.

Congrats T-Rex's! What a great, fun, season!

Ridge says the darnedest things

So, I've been meaning to post this for a while.
I've done a poor job of keeping up with "the darnedest things" that Ridge has said. He was an early talker. And, I think, a pretty good talker even for his age and milestones.
I've kept a little list on my phone and decided I need to post them in case the ole iPhone decides to chunk it the next time I upgrade the newest software. Ahem.
So, these are just a few. Just for me to read when I'm 60 and need a laugh. (Or next week when I'm about to pull my hair out)  I really do love you boys! ;) But, I'm only human.
Ridge- probably 19 months oldish???
Riding in the car. Ridge sees a tiny spider crawling on the passenger seat in front of him.
"Mama" "Mama" "es?" "es?" (es= this. My little Spanish speaking pookie)
Oh honey, it's just a little spider. Whack!
"Uh-oh. Oh no. Itsy Bitsy Spider???" (with a super disappointed look on his face. Poor baby thought I killed his friend, itsy bitsy.
Ridge- no clue how old
Playing with my phone.
Who you talking to pookie?
"Jesus."
About what?
"Noah's ark."
Ridge- sometime right after Fulton was born. 2 years
"Who bought you Fulton?"
Ridge- still to this day. He says "Hold you, Hold you!" And, I don't have the heart to correct him. It's just too sweet and innocent. I promise buddy. I will correct you before Kindergarten.

Ridge- (while Aunt Deeda was pregnant with Sawyer and her pregnant belly was super interesting to him)
In Walmart
A rather large older lady walking close to us. No one else in sight. No one.
"Baby! Baby!"
While pointing to her not pregnant belly.
Oh, son, thank you for this. I'm sorry poor lady. Please forgive me and my son's comment.
Ridge- right after Fulton was born. He loved to explain to everyone who was loving on him or talking to him. "He can't talk!" "He can't talk" While getting in your face looking at you super concerned because you were actually trying to talk to this tiny (ok, not so tiny) newborn.
Ridge- then it turned into, "When he gets bigger....he can talk" "When he gets bigger, he can walk" "When he gets bigger... fill in the blank." He loved explaining all of this to everyone. Such a good big brother.
Ridge- 2.5 years old
Pointed to some cupcakes we had. "That's a cupcake and it makes me feel better."
Oh no son. What have I said in front of you???
Ridge- 2.5 years old
While eating a few different leftovers one night as a family.
"No mommy, you can't do that. You're a girl. Only boys eat steak. Girls eat chicken."
Ridge- 2.5 years old Christmas vacation 2011
While Alan was doing his typical not shaving while on vacation-
"Dada, take your chin off!"
Ridge 2.10 years old
This one is not so funny. Very interesting. Very.
"I have 2 sisters. The big sister is Hannah. She died on the cross and is in heaven (I think we need to share the story of the cross again. Even though he hears it probably once a week. He does mention from time to time that if someone dies, they die on a cross too) And, I have a little little sister but I don't know her name.
Comment said on Good Friday 2012!
Ridge- 2 .10 years old
"I need a brother and a sister."
You have a brother son.
"Well, I need a sister. I'll buy us one at Target."
Ridge- 2.11 years old
Driving across Red Mountain.
Passing St. Vincent's Hospital
"Momma, that's where you go to buy babies!"
Ridge- 3 years old
His baby cousin Isaac was a few weeks old.
We were watching the news and they were informing us on the latest information on Hurricane Isaac.
"Momma, Momma!"
What son?
With such shock and surprise on his face, "Listen, they are even talking about how Isaac is getting bigger and stronger everyday!!!"
Love it.

Ridge- 2 years old. Momma huge and pregnant.
At Chick-fil-A
(thank you Dr. Seuss , The Belly Book)
A rather very very very very large man walks in to Chick-fil-A.
I can see the questions rolling through his little mind. Gears were ticking and tocking.
While I'm trying to shove a huge chicken nugget in his mouth,  a fry, a napkin, whatever I can reach...
"Mama, that man has a BIG FAT BELLY!"
I have never been so embarrassed. No, I do not teach my child what fat is.
I can thank Dr. Seuss for that. And, The Belly Book was hidden for a while.

Ridge- 3 years and counting
(sidenote- I love Dr. Seuss books, but they have caused some problems with all the rhyming. And, since the incident above, I do not read "fat", even if it rhymes. I choose "big or huge." )
Yes, my child likes to, as of lately, rhyme every word he hears. Some of his made up words are nonsense. Some are not so nice. He doesn't know this. But, it gets him and us into trouble at times. And, it is embarrassing. Is this normal? I've gotta ask our pediatrician. So, if you hear my child rhyming away, just ignore it. I'm hoping it's just a loooong phase we're going through.
Ridgie poo.
I love your inquisitive little mind. You truly love to learn and know more every day.
I hope I never forget your innocence. And, I pray that you keep it for as long as you can!
Lord, thank you for this sweet life and allowing me to be his mommy!
Thank you for the days you have given me with him and I pray for many more.
Use his little life for your glory!
I love you Ridgie poo.
Momma
