Quotes

I had to document these before my impaired short-term memory brain forgets.
I'm so bad at documenting these.
I forget so many.
Both of these "funnies" have to do with the weather.
And, the innocence is just to sweet not to share and remember for myself.

Driving home from the circus:
Ridge- looking up at the sky from his car seat
"Momma, look, the moon is melting!"
(Clouds covering the moon)

This morning eating breakfast, during stormy weather:
Looking through one of our windows from his chair, he can see our little box garden.
"Momma, it's rained so much, our flowers are gonna need to go tee tee!"
(with an even stronger Southern accent than usual)
I know you can hear him Lauren! ;)

Oh yes, and the super appetizing fish he thew a little fit over  in the ole Food Depot the other day.
I really don't think he wanted to eat them.
 (Although he loves fish)
I really think he just wanted to keep them, to play or something boyish. I don't know.
I had to throw that in here too.

Love you pookie!
Momma

My baby is 18 months?!?!

I.CAN'T.BELIEVE.IT.
I remember my dear Grandmother telling me when I was younger that time is faster the older you get. I thought that was the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard.
Time is time.
But, geez, it's so true.
I can't believe my baby is 18 months old?!?! Where does the time go?
Fulton, you are a joy and so much fun.
We love your sweet face, little curls, dimples, and smile.
You love to, of course, do everything Ridge does.
You love to throw everything.
(Balls and everything else you're not supposed to)
You love your shape sorter. The circle is your favorite :)
You still love to play with everything that is not toys.
You still bring me electrical outlet covers.
You love to feed yourself.
You love to eat spaghetti with your fingers.
You love your pacie. Too much.
Going to cut that thing after the skiing trip.
You love to empty the ball basket. Multiple times. Everyday.
You love to play cars with Ridge.
You love to race with Ridge.
You love to straddle. Everything. Everyone. You're so funny.
You eat. Pretty much everything right now.
You have an extra tooth. Yep. Interesting. We'll fix it honey. Ha.
You talk so much.
But we can only understand .8% of what you say.
Favorite words: cracker, mama, Dada, ball, football, bye bye, hello, hi.
And, of course, animal sounds are a fav right now.
You love the moment you hear Dada open the garage door and walk through the door.
You get so excited!
You love climbing up the stairs on the fort and sliding down all by yourself.
You are so big.
You love playing in the rocks under the fort. You only put the rocks in in your mouth 1% of the time now.
You love to play with the magnets on the fridge. And, you put them in your mouth.
You love to play peekaboo.
And, you, every time, without fail, take your socks and shoes off in your car seat.
Every time. And, every time, you get in trouble. We are so tired of dressing you 15 times a day, especially in the winter son. You are about to go barefoot in February.
You help put things in the trash for momma.
You help Ridge and momma clean up. Until you're distracted by a toy.
You love to climb in Ridge's chairs and turn the lights on and off.
You get so excited when you see Ridge's fish.
And, you still love to wear momma and Dada's shoes.
These are just a few of the things you love right now.

You are 24 lbs.
(You didn't gain as much from your 15 month appt. because of the awful stomach virus we had 3 weeks ago.) So pitiful.
32 1/2 inches long.
19" Head circumference

You are such a big boy and so fun.
You've started holding your hands in front of your eyes when you cry. It's so funny and dramatic.
You are so friendly and love to wave to everyone.
We love you!!!!

Simple DIY Valentine Decor, Snow, and The Stomach Virus

My take on some simple Valentine's Decor just using some supplies I had on hand.
doilies, old sheet music, heart punch, heart stamp, bakers twine.
Nothing to write home about but Ridge and Fulton have liked them.

Simple I Love You sign on doilies and twine.

Enjoying the first snow of the winter and Fulton's first snow ever.
He loved it. Of course, he loves anything and fears nothing.
It was very wet because it has rained for the past 22 days straight.
No seriously. Unbelievable amounts of rain, day after day. No sunshine.
So, the ground was sopping.
But, we still had fun.
I mean, hey, snow is snow in Alabama.
You take what you can get.

During nap time it kept snowing. And, the roads were covered too.
Loved the huge snowflakes.

 The snow had stopped.

I think we got about 3"

The next afternoon.

And, this week we have also celebrated with a stomach virus.
Nothing like hibernating in your home because of all the continuous rain, but now because we're infectious.
Fulton brought in the fun Monday night.
Alan and I were up til 3:30 with him.
Poor baby, he didn't understand and he vomited probably 15 times.
We gave him 4 baths and stripped his crib 4 times.
Then we decided to lie on the couch and hold him with towels all over us instead.
This also eliminated more laundry, so we would just fold up the towel and get another.
Then, late Thursday night, Alan and Ridge woke up vomiting.
Luckily, the vomiting is gone. And, Ridge only vomited once.
But, it was a loooong night for momma trying to get him to sleep on the couch with towels and understanding he could not have milk to drink.
Alan was quarantined to our room for easy access to our bathroom. Poor guy, he had no help.
Now we have just a little nice lingering diarrhea.
(I know you are all loving this nice post and the graphic details)

***side note***
The homemade laundry detergent. AMAZING with foul disgusting, tomato basil soup vomit.
I washed all of Fulton's crib bedding in it and the stench was unbelievable.
The detergent- cleaned everything so well. No stains. And, the smell was gone! Nada!
I seriously doubt my regular detergent would've been able to clean it that well and with no lingering smells.
Just had to throw that super worthy information in this post because it sold me on it even more!
If you haven't made any, make it now!!!! Click here for my post on it last year.
Seriously, one of the best cleaning products I've ever used.

He even caught the bug.
Poor snowman.
Too bad the fun was over in 24 hours, but a little snow is always exciting for us.
Say a prayer for us that the lingering syptoms go away and momma continues to stay well!

Interview with Ridge

So, I'm a little late on year 3 (what's new?)
But, Ive wanted to start the annual interview each birthday and document the changes in their answers.
I found this list on Reaves Party of Four via Pinterest
Thanks Ridge for participating during dinner last night.
 {there were a few moments he questioned me being his momma and that I should know all of these answers about him by now}
  1. What is your favorite color? Orange and Red. (What?? Amazing. It's been orange FOREVER. Seriously, family and close friends will be shocked when reading this.
  2. What is your favorite toy? Lightening McQueen that talks. Yes, I hope so. Momma went to a lotta trouble for that little toy ;)
  3. What is your favorite fruit? Apples Yes, we need to play an apple try by the way.
  4. What is your favorite tv show? Curious George. Movies- Pinocchio and Toy Story He got a little confused between movie and tv shows. I think they are all the same to him. He's only seen Pinocchio once and screamed the entire time with the whale. Not really sure if it's his fav or just because it's new. But, hey, he has the answers.
  5. What is your favorite thing to eat for lunch? Ham sandwich and PB&J sandwich. These are not his favorites. He just couldn't think of anything and momma helped.
  6. What is your favorite outfit? I don't know. I don't know. Alabama football jersey. It's amazing how his concern for his clothing has DRASTICALLY changed in the past 6 months. He's pretty easy going now.
  7. What is your favorite game? Football. yep.
  8. What is your favorite snack? Fruit snacks. Yes, I think just because when he hears the word "snack" he automatically thinks fruit snacks. Every time.
  9. What is your favorite animal? Blue elephant. Ha. That elephant is LOVED.
  10. What is your favorite song? God our Father Sweet prayer/blessing
  11. What is your favorite book? Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Still on that kick.
  12. Who is your best friend? Harris. Yep. No question.
  13. What is your favorite cereal? Lucky Charms. Yes.
  14. What is your favorite thing to do outside? Play on my fort. Pretty much. Poor kid hasn't been able to lately. It has seriously rained for 15 days straight. I need to start researching ark plans.
  15. What is your favorite drink?  Juice. Soooo surprised he did not say Sprite. Thanks to Aunt Deeda for accidentally giving Ridge Sprite once at Five Guys. Thank you. It's made eating at restaurants difficult. He can spot that green sign with the yellow lemon on it from 50 yards.
  16. What is your favorite holiday? Easter. Shocking answer since Christmas is still on his brain. He was so excited to find out that Christmas will happen again! It's not over forever. Ha!
  17. What do you like to take to bed with you at night? Blue Elephant. Yes, the kid loooves blue elephant. I don't know what we will do if we lose him. He knows LaLa gave it to him when he was still growing in momma's belly. The kid loves that elephant!
  18. What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast? Honey bread. Yep, honey and bread. The kid devours it.
  19. What do you want for dinner on your birthday? Cupcakes. He heard birthday and automatically thinks of cupcakes.
And, the kicker....
   20. What do you want to be when you grow up? Orangutan. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
I'm still not sure what this answer was about. Doesn't care for or not care for this animal. Really
has never mentioned this animal. Seriously cracked me up.

I love you Ridgie-poo!
Can't wait to hear your 4 year old answers!

2012 Christmas Extravaganza Rewind

These are a few of my favorite things... lalala
ahem... {pictures}..
Merry Christmas from the Wiggins 2012!
(or you could look at it as we are just celebrating early for 2013 Christmas)
either way, except nothing but procrastination on my posts ;)
...and in no particular order

This years Christmas card
(I know there has to be a less tacky way to upload the file, but I was too lazy thanks to icloud and my photo stream)
Thank you, as always, jlauren photography for our awesome family pictures.

back

zoolight safari- Fulton's first attendance

the rest of the fam behind us separated by a girl that sang obnoxiously  wonderfully the entire train ride

Totally ok with meeting Santa this year. 3 is the magic number I guess.
Nothing like a Santa sitting in a zebra print chair. Nice.

"I want a reindeer and a little Lightening McQueen that talks"
Love the simplicity of his Christmas wish list.
Next year, it will be the mini mini ipad.

his first experience with Santa- 2nd Christmas, 18 months old, also zoolight safari

Fulton not so ready. Couldn't even give the bearded man a high five. Terror.

Maybe the only pic of momma around Christmas. Savor it. Old schoolin.

Dada thought he could do better.

And, that is Aunt Deeda about to pass out pregnant because she's facing backwards getting sick while taking pictures of Sawyer.

Special moment with Nonnie's family. Her brother reading the story of  the First Christmas to all the great-grandchildren and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Thankful for my family and celebrating the TRUE meaning of CHRISTmas

I guess the only pic I took of Ridge's tree. :( Sorry Fulton, I'll take pics of yours next year honey.

Gotta shop at Walmarts in your Christmas pjs at least once in your life

Loved. it.
Check out Ridge and Harris' moves.

Sweet teacher Mrs. Debbie and my son who looks like he has rotten teeth because of all the chocolate he just ingested at his school party.

He even won a coloring contest! And, hey, he used more than orange!

Another potty casualty.
After Lightening went missing, Finn McMissile was found in the bottom of the potty.
Fulton.

Alan's amazing hiding spot for one of my presents.
Impressive honey ;)
(If you can't see it because you're distracted by my messy counters, look up)

Christmas time at Nonnie and Poppies house!

And somehow, always resorts to my old Fisher Price people
Anyone recognized that school bus?

And, I'm over this.

Tough dinosaur.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching Fulton's face when he would see a Christmas tree this year.
Every morning waking up in his room with his tree and in the den.
Loved it.

Woooaaa!

gentle.

Back at home and sprinkling the reindeer food.
Definitely understood more about Christmas this year.
Loved doing the Advent calendar. He looked forward to it every night.
Loved the excitement of Santa and Rudolph.

Only the best for Santa- Oreos

Neither of them could contain their excitement and peed all over their beds.
Nice Christmas morning surprise x2

Checking out the loot.
Fulton is smiling because he has no idea what's going on.

Whoa! I see my Lightening McQueen!!!
(And, momma ended up paying $24 buckaroos for ol Lightening, regular 8.88 at Walmarts.
Amazon saved the day.)

Fulton's tool truck

Ridge's workbench

Ooooo. Christmas Tree!

The aftermath.
Momma still doesn't exist.
2013, I will be in every picture. Get ready everyone.

Later that morning while getting ready to go to Tuscaloosa,
Ridge said, "Momma, you know what?!? I didn't even ask for a Finn McMissile. Santa knew he went in the potty. And, he brought me one anyway."
So sweet.

At Granna and Grandpops now.
The two young-uns
Sweet baby Isaac

Gear for snow-skiing

Sweet sweet baby. You're beautiful.

Uncle Jon's big helper.

Ridge- Mom, we're doing this again?!?!?
Fulton- Watch this!

Tis the Season to be Merry and Bright!
Merry Christmas everyone!

We are thankful for what the Lord has done in this past year.
Our faith, our family, and our friends.
And, most importantly sweet Jesus' birth.
Thank you God for sending yourself as a sweet baby to die for our sins.
Our life is yours.
Lead us to glorify you.
